This policy explains what information Beacon Dealer Tech (“Beacon”, “we”, “us”) collects from visitors to beacondealertech.com and from customers of our managed services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Beacon Dealer Tech is a managed IT services provider for automotive and heavy-duty truck dealerships, based in Metro Detroit. Questions about this policy can go to pravi@beacondealertech.com.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site (contact, ask-a-question, sign up for the customer portal) you give us your name, work email, dealership, and the content of your message. The customer portal also stores the tickets you open and the replies you receive.
• Information collected automatically. Our web server logs the standard request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp, URL, referrer). We use a privacy-respecting analytics setup that does not set tracking cookies across sites.
• Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in to the customer portal. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How we use it

• To respond to inquiries and provide the services you have asked for.
• To operate, secure, and improve this website and the customer portal.
• To comply with legal obligations (tax, audit, lawful requests).

We do not sell personal information. We do not share contact-form submissions with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we protect it

Site traffic is served over HTTPS. Customer-portal passwords are hashed. Access to customer data is limited to Beacon staff who need it to deliver service. We follow the safeguards we recommend to our customers, including MFA on administrative accounts and least-privilege access.

Data retention

We keep contact-form submissions and Ask-Us questions for as long as they are useful to operate our business and respond to follow-ups. Customer-portal records are kept for the life of the engagement plus a reasonable period afterward for support and audit. You can request deletion at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us what we have on file about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email pravi@beacondealertech.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is for business users. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted on the homepage.
