Why Your Service Drive Printer Prints Blank Tickets at 7 AM (And Only at 7 AM)

This is one of the most common tickets at every dealership we've ever taken over. The service writer prints a repair order at 7:05 AM, and a sheet of paper comes out with the dealership header but no line items. They reprint, and now it works. By 8:15 the problem is gone for the day. The vendor blames the DMS, the DMS blames the printer, and IT blames "user error." The actual cause is usually one of these three.
